Stokke Poem

Post by Jody Houle

On leaving Stokke, I must reflect
On the places we’ve seen and the people we’ve met
You may have noticed the 6 red coats
Gliding over the water in your beautiful boats
Or seen Thomas, the town’s most popular man
Doing his best to show us all that he can
We’ve seen churches and birds and many things old
Psychiatrists and photographers and teachers have told
Us all about their respected vocations
And we’ve done it all from this wonderful location!
We’ve learned a lot about port wine
And we’ll swear in Norwegian if you get out of line
And I must not forget the beautiful sight
Of your beech forest all lit up at night
It is with sad hearts that we say goodbye
And of course, we’re women, we’ll probably cry
You should be so proud of your town by the sea
And your beautiful, kind and caring community.

Me too! Especially the part where I’m supposed to be Stokkes most popular man! Yea, right….

Seeing you via this blog is so much fun

The Norwegians really have you on the run

I’m sure you’ll remember this lovely time

Poet, I’m not but at least this rhymes. 🙂

Just want to say what a great blog you got here!
I’ve been around for quite a lot of time, but finally decided to show my appreciation of your work!

Thumbs up, and keep it going!
